28 Jun Hey, LA! We’re Hosting a Workshop at The Sill
Got houseplants? Wanna put them together in a fun way? Over a glass of wine or two?
Well, we’ll show you how to do that in our upcoming, in-person workshop! We’re teaming up with The Sill to lead an evening where we’ll plant—you guessed it—window boxes.
Our “How to Window Box Workshop” is happening Tuesday, July 16 from 7 PM to 9 PM, at the West Hollywood location of The Sill, the plant shop juggernaut based in NYC. (They opened their first West Coast location back in February. Check out The Horticult’s first interview their founder Eliza Blank wheyyy back in 2014.) Interested in joining us? We’ll walk you through arranging, planting, care, and even show you how to attach a quick DIY trellis, ideal for air plants or vines, to your box.

At the workshop, we’ll show each guest how to plant and arrange their own window box with tropical houseplants. But that’s not all! Everyone will learn how to make and attach a quick and easy trellis.

Your co-bloggers and co-authors at last year’s How to Window Box book launch party!
Tickets are $50 and it’s BYO(W)B: bring your own wood window box. (There will be wine, but feel free to bring your own of that too.) Everything else—from the plants, soil and amendments to the trellis supplies—will be provided.
You can find all the event details right here. The workshop will be a hands-on one inside The Sill’s cozy indoor jungle, so spots are limited. Can’t wait to plant with you in L.A.!
